In the near future, from July 24, 2023, to July 29, 2023, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan, Ambassador Tomisawa of Japanese culture and cuisine will pay a visit to Vietnam. Nam organized the series of events “Taste of Japan”, honoring the quintessence of traditional Japanese cuisine as well as exchanging and spreading cultural values between Vietnam and Japan. Within the chain of events, he will participate in special activities in three cities: Hanoi, Hai Phong, and Ha Long (Quang Ninh).

“Taste of Japan”: A series of events that open up many opportunities for cultural understanding and empathy between the people of the two countries.

Opening the series of events “Taste of Japan”, Food Culture Ambassador Tomisawa will hold a press conference and participate in the Japan Bluefin Tuna Slicing Festival on July 24 at Hatoyama Japanese Restaurant, 8 Van Phuc, Ba Dinh, Hanoi. The event received much support and participation from special guests, including: Ambassador Yamada, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan in Vietnam; Chef Fuku Nguyen (Nguyen Ba Phuoc), the first Vietnamese and the 9th foreigner in the world to win the Gold Medal “Taste of Japan” issued by the Japanese Government; with high-ranking Vietnamese guests…

Then, from July 25 to July 28, Ambassador of Culinary Culture Tomisawa will carry out a series of Kaiseki activities in the three cities of Hanoi, Hai Phong, and Ha Long (Quang Ninh). Kaiseki are high-class traditional Japanese dishes, converging the quintessence of cherry blossom country cuisine. The series of Kaiseki activities promises to bring Vietnamese diners quintessential and unforgettable experiences with traditional Japanese cuisine.

Finally, on July 29, Ambassador of Culinary Culture Tomisawa will attend the opening ceremony of OKITA Japanese Buffet Restaurant, the first restaurant in Vietnam of Chef Fuku Nguyen (Nguyen Ba Phuoc), also a student. close to the Ambassador.
